Renovation & Restoration
The Trustees and Management committee aim to maintain the fabric and structure of the building, and in the past have managed major projects to restore and maintain the building
2021
2016 - Flooring, Redecoration & Heating
Following many years of fundraising the committee embarked on major works in 2016. The floor of the church had been affected by standing water on the North side under the joists, earlier completion of the ring drain and resolved this issue, but the joists and floor boards needed to be replaced. Many years before the crypt had also had several feet of water and this had previously been resolved with the drainage system. Although the issue of the standing water had been resolved, it was decided whilst the floor was being replaced it was decided to install damp proof membrane. The joists and floor were completely replaced, new carpet laid and the walls and ceiling re-decorated. Additionally new radiators were installed. To maintain ventilation under the floor fans were installed that maintain air circulation. A grant was made by Devon Historic Churches Trust

2020 - Paschal Candle Stand
A legacy from Peter Lee, a regular worshipper at St Luke's who died in May 2018 it was agreed that a Paschal Candle Stand would be a wonderful addition to the church and would be commemorated to Peter's memory.
The candle stand was turned by local man, Ivor Nott, from oak. The plan for it to be ready to be dedicated on Easter Sunday 2020, unfortunately because of the Covid-19 pandemic no services were held in the church, so the candle was lit by and it was dedicated later when services were able to resume

2021 - Stained Glass Window restoration
A generation donation enabled the East end stained glass window to be restored in 2021
